'Inspector Lewis, Series V' premieres Sundays, July 8–29 at 9 p.m. on WVIZ/PBS ideastream®
Inspector Lewis and Detective Sergeant Hathaway are back for a summer of secrets and stumpers as they work together to work out four new cases in the seemingly perfect intellectual haven of Oxford. Masterpiece Mystery! “Inspector Lewis, Series V” airs Sundays, July 8–29 at 9 p.m. on WVIZ/PBS. The detective duo tackles cases of murder and mayhem in the following episodes:
“The Soul of Genius” premieres Sunday, July 8 at 9 p.m.
When the body of an obsessive Oxford English professor is discovered ritually buried, Lewis and Hathaway soon find that multiple riddles are in need of solving—from an intellectual rivalry with the professor’s brother to an amateur detective’s incessant meddling.
“Generation of Vipers” premieres Sunday, July 15 at 9 p.m.
Suspicions abound as Lewis and Hathaway investigate the death of a lovelorn Oxford professor. Was her death caused by an embarrassing Internet leak or something much more sinister?
“Fearful Symmetry” premieres Sunday, July 22 at 9 p.m.
The detectives are drawn into a darker side of Oxford while investigating the murder of a suburban babysitter. Will the babysitter’s secret life help the detectives unravel a tangled web of lies and deceit to find their killer?
“The Indelible Stain” premieres Sunday, July 29 at 9 p.m.
A controversial American academic is found strangled after a guest lecture at Oxford, leading Lewis and Hathaway to narrow down a list of motives—which include politics, ambition and vengeance—in order to find their culprit.
